My approach is interactive, but not intrusive. I will offer gentle direction and chatter throughout the session, to ensure you feel comfortable, confident and beautiful in front of the lens. I like to capture details and moments with your family that retell your story through creative and timeless images.

What does natural light photography mean?
It just means that I don't work in a studio with flash lights and rely solely on what good old mother nature provides. Whether the sun is bright, dappled, hazy or soft and whatever is streaming through your windows at home. I will use it to the best advantage to light the session in an evocative and creative way.
When is the best time to book maternity and newborn sessions?
For maternity I would suggest around 32-36 weeks and for newborns within 2 weeks if you want to capture the newness and tinyness, However, anytime up to 4 weeks they are still pretty new and tiny. Every new stage of a newborns life within the first year is pretty special and brings a whole different set of characteristics to capture, I do baby sessions at any age so it just depends on what you want and when is the right time for you.
I'd like to book an at home session, but my home isn't Instagram worthy?
Spoiler...no one's does! If you are worried about mess and clutter don't be. We all have it and if you have kids you have it in spades. I like a home that looks lived in, I like to see that you actually exist between these walls. After all it’s your home. These little reminders are the things that we will see in an image long after the time has gone and it will transport us straight back to that time. It makes an image more tangible, more personal. That said, its great to get rid of the clutter. Clear papers and clutter off surfaces, get a broom and just push everything into the spare room (junk room) for the day. If its still there 6 months later toss it! Thanks Marie Kondo;)
What if my kids misbehave?
It's not an if, it's definitely going to happen, but it's not something to worry about! I have a very spirited child myself and I have pretty much seen it all! I have a few tricks up my sleeve and like to make the session fun and all about them. I let them lead and know when to move on, so please don't stress and keep smiling, that way you know you will look good in the photos!!
